Offers

What are the offers within the Relay Widget.

What is an offer?

An offer represents an opportunity for your users to earn cashback by taking a specific action — for example, purchasing a product from a particular retailer, signing up for a service, or completing a qualifying transaction. Each offer has a cashback value, a validity period, and belongs to one or more categories.

Fruga curates and maintains the offer catalogue on an ongoing basis. New offers are added, existing ones are updated, and expired ones are removed — all without any action required from your side. Your users always see a current, relevant catalogue.

Controlling which offers your users see

You have full control over the offer catalogue presented to your users. Rather than showing everything in the Fruga catalogue by default, your partner configuration determines exactly what appears in the widget. There are two ways to shape this:

Include and exclude specific offers

You can maintain an explicit list of offers to include — only those offers will appear for your users, regardless of what else is in the catalogue. Alternatively, you can maintain an exclusion list — all offers except those specified will be shown. This gives you the flexibility to either curate a tight selection or simply remove anything that is not relevant to your audience.

A common use case for exclusions is removing competitor brands or offers that conflict with your own commercial relationships.

Define your categories

Offers are organised into categories in the widget — for example, Travel, Shopping, Dining, or Entertainment. You choose which categories to activate and what to call them. This means the widget navigation reflects your users’ context rather than a generic taxonomy. An insurer whose users are primarily interested in home and lifestyle offers, for instance, would surface those categories prominently and omit ones that are irrelevant.

Within your active offer set, you can designate certain offers as featured. Featured offers are given visual prominence in the widget — they appear at the top of the catalogue and are highlighted to draw the user’s attention. This is useful for promoting a new offer, highlighting a particularly high-value opportunity, or surfacing a time-limited deal.

Featured placement is managed through your partner configuration and can be updated at any time by the Fruga team without requiring any changes to your integration.
